Woodbine stakes action

Mekong Melody ($13.90) nosed out another Roger Attfield charge, favored Ave, to capture the Grade 2 Dance Smartly Stakes under Patrick Husbands.

In the $150K Shady Well, 3-5 favorite Roxy Gap prevailed over 17-1 shot Tree Pose. Corey Fraser rode Roxy Gap for trainer Mark Casse.
