Dublin worked a bullet six furlongs Tuesday morning at Oaklawn in preparation for his 3-year-old debut, which will come in the track's Grade 3, $250,000 Southwest on Feb. 15. He covered the distance in 1:14, working behind a pair of stablemates until the stretch then overtaking them. Terry Thompson was aboard Dublin.
Oaklawn clocker Jim Hamilton carried Dublin through fractions of 36.60 for the opening three furlongs, 49 for the half-mile and 1:01 for five furlongs. The bullet moves for each distance on the Tuesday morning tab at Oaklawn were 36.60 for three-eighths, 48.20 for four furlongs and 1:01 for five furlongs. Sweet Relish, a stakes winner who is 4, worked the 1:01 from the gate, her third consecutive bullet at Oaklawn.
Dublin won last year's Grade 1 Hopeful, and is the most accomplished 3-year-old on the grounds at Oaklawn.
