Fair Grounds: Firm turf?

As I mentioned in the first 'conditions' post of the day, the turf course, while listed as firm by Fair Grounds on Friday, seemed to be far softer than firm. And that appears to be the case again today, with A She's Adorable winning race 4, an N2X allowance, with one and one-sixteenth miles in 1:48.58, really, really, really slow. Also, the jocks stayed well clear of the fence, and I strongly feel outside paths are going to be superior again today.

Fair Grounds: Siente el Trueno A - the track is quite fast. Race 2, the N2X alw, went in 1:09.60. B - Siente el Trueno can flat-out run. Mike Stidham-trained City Zip firster bet down to 2-1 favoritism in race 3 smoked six furlongs in 1:10 while winning by six and one-half lengths. Interested to see if this horse comes back long or short, cause if he can stretch out, the talent is there to factor in some major 3yo races this spring. Greg Geier-trained Fast Alex had no speed at all, but rallied well for third behind Siente. One to watch stretching out. Mambo...

Aqueduct: Migliore okay; Honest Wildcat euthanized Jockey Richard Migliore was complaining of blurred vision and was awaiting the results of CAT-Scan, but X-rays of his chest and neck revealed no structural damage as a result of the spill he was in during the running of Saturday's first race.
